Before use

Inspect the item for cracks, damaged edges or loose components. Stop using a damaged vessel. Put it on a stable, clear surface away from the table edge. Check the supplied guidance before exposing it to heat.

Hot liquid

Allow drinks to cool to a comfortable temperature. Handle hot vessels carefully and keep steam away from your face and hands. Avoid rapid changes between hot and cold conditions. Do not assume decorative surfaces or handles stay cool.

Cleaning

Use the cleaning method specified for the actual item. Do not assume dishwasher or microwave compatibility. Avoid abrasive tools until suitability is confirmed. Rinse away residues and allow the item to dry completely before storing.

Storage and the tea table

Store where pieces cannot knock against one another or fall. Keep dry tea away from moisture and follow the tea supplier’s storage guidance. Keep serving surfaces free from spills. A tray is not automatically leakproof or suitable for direct heat.
